Where on earth does hate hide
Within the body
Causing damage deep inside
A place where light can never reside

An xray can’t find
Nor an MRI
The hate that eats the soul alive
Devouring peace at an accelerated stride
Creating a darkness
A wave that is hard to ride
Causing one to fall
Even deeper inside

Where is the light
To rise to
When the hate
Has drawn a shade so tight
Enveloping heart, life and soul
Within it’s deep gloom of night

The heart is sad
The mind is closed
The soul is buried
And can not rise
Until the hate
Is unearthed
And given the light of day
To reach and find forgiveness
TODAY
